We are being rendered homeless, Oworoshoki residents beg Lagos Govt

Sahara Weekly Reports That The Residents of Oworoshoki Community in kosefe area of Lagos state have called on Governor of Lagos state, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to wade into the on-going demolition of their community where over 1000 houses have been demolish since Thursday.
The save our soul call was against the backdrop of several demolitions carried out by some officials who claimed that they were from Alausa, which has rendered many residents in the community within Oworoshoki homeless.
Some residents of the community told our correspondent that the situation on ground was devastating going by the current situation across the nation.
They said that families including aged parents, children and women were rendered homeless.
According to them, “ since over 40years we resided in this community, we abided with the rules and orders of the state, we are peace keeping families, no family has ever come to claim that the community was for his/her forefathers.
“We only woke up yesterday to see tractors pulling some buildings down immediately.
“Some elders from the community have gone to Alausa,the state govt denied,even being aware of the demolishing
“We are calling on the governor, the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the executive chairman of Kosofe LCDA, to save us.
“We do not know those who are behind this act of rendering us homeless”, they added.
Another resident told our correspondent that the situation was pathetic as nobody knows who to believe again.
“With the hardships in the country, people are still praying to survive then somebody from nowhere began to render them homeless without the fear of God.
“Majority of us have been living in this community for the past 15 years, we have committed our resources to developing the community. Some areas used to be water logged but we committed our resources to make it habitable.
“It is wicked for the government of Lagos State to come with the mindset of demolishing our houses and render our children and wives homeless after we have supported them en mass during the elections
