Hon. Olumide Osoba Speaks on June 12

Happy Democracy Day. This date 12th of June means different things to different people, but June 12 is an unforgettable date in the History of Nigeria and paved the way for actualisation of the present 4th Republic.

The Becon of Hope and Democratic Struggle remains MKO Abiola GCFR who stood firm on his mandate and paid the ultimate sacrifice for Nigerians. In remembering this day let us continue to appreciate his sacrifice and the sacrifice of numerous Nigerians that paid the ultimate price with their lives.

We should also appreciate the bravery of a Northern President in making sure the struggle of those Nigerians were recognised by naming June 12 Democracy Day.
