HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, GOVERNORSHIP ELECTIONS.: Edo Labour Party Chieftain Condemned Violence attacked During Exercise.

A Chieftain of the Labour Party (LP) in Edo State Dr. Kingsley Oghogho Okundaye has frowned at the incessant spate of violence that marred the just concluded governorship and house of assembly elections across the country especially in Edo state.
Dr. Okundaye, While congratulating the Labour Party candidate for Oredo West constituency for emerging victorious on the just concluded state assembly elections said the victory was well deserved.
the frontline Labour Party leader Dr. Okundaye commended the steadfastness and doggedness of the Party faithfuls that stood their ground to exercise their franchise despite harassment and intimidations by those he desrcibed as enemy of democracy.
He enjoined all the Labour Party supporters across the length and breathe of the country not to be discouraged especially when there are still some inconclusive elections to be done.
According to him, the time is now for the people to be rescued from the shackles of oppressive governance and assured them that the stolen presidential mandate will be recovered soon at least with the setting in motions of the filing of the petition by the presidential candidate of the Party Peter Obi at the tribunal.
The Labour Party Chieftain also used the opportunity to wish muslim faithfuls in Edo State the best of luck as they commence their Ramadan fast.
The political bigwig enjoined them to use the period to pray for the peaceful coexistence of Nigeria especially now that the country is going through trying period politically economically and otherwise.
He however wish them well during the entire period of the fast.
