Of what use is the law if those that made it go against it? Why should citizens follow it if it is partial?
This is a true life story of a Young man,Yemi Ayeni. He is a young businessman who invested heavily in a school venture for his young wife of 26.
Early last year they had a minor disagreement and Somehow the case ended in a magistrate court and the judge, without any attempt at alternative conflict resolution since one party was still interested in the marriage, summarily dissolved the marriage.
Furthermore,The husband smelled a rat but could not imagine the truth. The judge also barred him from having access to his two kids and the school which he jointly founded and funded. Recently he found out the truth. The judge has an ongoing affair with his wife which predates the divorce matter which he sat upon. He has taken over the school and added Yemi’s wife to his previous 3 wives making her No 4.
There are reports that they had tied the knots in the registry last December, Yemi’s wife is 8 months pregnant for the magistrate judge and they had their traditional ceremony TODAY at No 1 Tayo Kehinde street, near Egbeda palace, Egbeda, Lagos.
The 62-year-old magistrate judge is president of Igando customary court where the case was decided under him!
Meanwhile, Yemi Ayeni had been locked up in appalling condition and probably been tortured at a police station in Abbatoir Agege with the intention of ensuring he is not on the loose while the traditional wedding is taking place.
