Good Day Friends,
I know it can be tough to stay on track I have a few tips for you on how to keep your fitness resolutions.
If you’re like us in this cold, your bathing suit is telling you to go to the gym, but your comfy sweatpants are saying the opposite.
Why are our workout goals always the toughest? There is always way to make our fitness resolutions attainable, I have a few of my favorite ways to keep you on track.
BUDDY UP
Two reasons workout goals die fast? Boring workouts, and zero accountability! Pairing up with a buddy will help make any workout more fun, but most importantly–it will hold you accountable. Team up with someone who shares a common goal. Before you start out, write down what you plan to achieve, and share with each other and meet every week to discuss your progress. It’s a great excuse to get some girl time in.
DITCH THE TREADMILL
If you dread going to the gym every day to run on the same treadmill (and who doesn’t?), ditch the boring workouts and look for an alternative, more upbeat version. Check out some new options in your city for spinning, Pilates, hot yoga, the new barre method workouts, you will have fun while getting a sweat on and even learning something new.
SPICE UP YOUR WATER
You should be aiming to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day! Plenty of fluids won’t just make you feel better, it’ll renew your skin, help control your calories, and rejuvenate those muscles you’ve been working so hard. Don’t be fooled, it’s not as easy as it sounds! Adding fresh fruits like citrus, berries, kiwi, and my favorite cucumber will help you knock back those extra glasses.
INVEST IN SOME NEW ACTIVE WEAR
Never under estimate the power of a little retail therapy to get you motivated. This is a must for me. Whenever I start a new workout regiment I always treat myself to something new. breaking your bank account.
REWARD YOURSELF
Before you even head to the gym, build in a reward to wrap up your sweat session. Whether that’s grabbing a latte with your sister, or a green juice with your workout buddy. When you have an immediate reward to look forward to, it’s easy to get yourself motivated to get your workout in.
I would love to hear some of the ways you stay on track with your fitness goals.
