As part of her humanitarian service ,the founder of Shelter of Grace, a non governmental organisation (NGO), Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, the Vice Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, Lagos have shared palliatives to the over 5000 vulnerable persons across Ikorodu and its environs since the breakout of covid 19.
Speaking about her commitment, Princess Folashade said “It is our duty as individuals to assist the masses during this period of Covid 19 no matter how little it is and I’m always hands on to help because I know the situation we are in right now is not easy, but with our collective effort, we will achieve a lot more.”
“Throughout the COVID-19 lockdown, I have distributed food items to the vulnerable and i will continue because it will define us as one Nigeria at this crucial time in the history of the nation.
“let us show love,we are one, no matter what positions we stand, it signifies good leadership.
Princess, while chatting with our correspondent advised mothers to always play parental roles not only for their own biological children but all.
She noted that girl child needs to be monitored and nurtured”.
” When i was growing up it was the advice from neighbours and my friend’s mothers that built me up today.
“I know women are busy but it is important to make out time for the children, to know who this children are with and what they are doing, parental guidance is very important.
According to her, “lack of parental guidance is part of the major causes of incessant rape so there is the need for parent to discuss sexual matters freely with their children.
She also said she was challenged to double her efforts in the service to humanity.
I am optimistic Nigeria will bounce back by his grace, my foundation is committed to building and helping in times of challenges.
I am using this avenue to urge everyone to support one another, we are great and every thing will be alright, let us show love to one another so that we can build one Nigeria.
