I didn’t come to replace anyone, I’m not a messiah – Sunday Oliseh

The newly appointed Super Eagles Coach, Sunday Oliseh, was officially unveiled earlier today as the Super Eagles Coach after the termination of Stephen Keshi’s appointment.

However, he has said he is not a messiah to perform immediate miracles to turn around fortunes of the Super Eagles.

Speaking at the Press conference during his unveiling, the former Super Eagles player said it is a great honour for him to be back to the affairs of football in Nigeria.

“I’m not coming as a messiah” he said “It is a great honour to be a great coach of this nation, me and my team. We are more than motivated to serve Nigeria. I am not to replace anyone”.

Oliseh added, “Gone are the days when we have individual players playing. That’s what we have during my generation.”

The new coach said there would be a list of criteria to admit only the best players into his team.

“If you’re not playing the first division in any league in the world you will not make the team, and also we need hungry and motivated player.”

Oliseh is expected to resume work immediately.
