I was initiated this Year, says 19 years old,.. among seven other suspects arrested for cultism and gang violence in Ikorodu

A 19 years old suspects, Lekan Abiodun who just finished his SS3 Senior Secondary school education from Ikorodu Grammar School last year said he was force to Eiye Cult group by big boys in the street whom I always run errands for .

The suspect ,I was ask to join the group early year so that I will be connected with all the big boy who will assist me with my education carrier to any level,as I am speaking with you my parents did not know I am a member of a cult. Until I am being arrested.

when my mother I saw the tattoo on my body, she ask me what is the meaning of all this mark on my body I told her it is fashion.”I am pleading for Forgivenes and mercy, I will change. Parents should please always check they wards ,try to know who and who their children is always with, if this person is impacting to the chiildren lives positively or negatively no matter busy you are.

Operatives from Igbogbo Division and Ikorodu SARS made the following arrest of the suspects: Lekan Abiodun 19,Seun Opanusi , 25 years old, Ahmed Tajudeen , 21 years old, Emmanuel Olowu , 18 years old, Miss Jimoh Balikis ,18 years old, Miss Mariam Owolabi ,18 years old, Ayomide Omotosho ,18 years old and Rabiu Suleiman , 18 years old.

The arrest was on the 12th of February, 2020, at about 10 .20pm, information was received from members of the public that some persons suspected to be robbers and cultists were sighted at Itupate and Daudu area of Ikorodu attacking and robbing unsuspecting victims of their valuables.

On receipt of the information, Police operatives were mobilized to the scene where they made the arrest of suspects

They confessed to be members of Aiye and Eiye cult groups. It was revealed that the suspects are among those criminal elements terrorizing Ikorodu and its environs. Investigation is ongoing to apprehend other members of their groups at large.
