“I Will Be Working with Olamide on ‘Je Ko Ye Won’ Remix” – Banjo, Hi Fi Entertainment Artiste

Hifi Entertainment lead artiste, Banjo, has revealed that he will be working with one of Nigeria’s foremost hip hop artiste, Olamide, on his new single, ‘Je Ko Ye Won’,  remix.  Explaining the choice of the artiste popularly known as ‘bado’, Banjo said his rich lyrics and popularity among young fans informed his decision. Banjo, who is based in Lagos, will be releasing the original version of ‘Je Ko Ye Won’, within the first week of October.

According to the artiste, the new song captures the rag-to-riches stories of most Nigerian superstars and encourages young ones to put in their best to attain the highest mark.

Briefing journalists in Ikeja, recently, Banjo, said his highest goal is to inspire the youth in such ways that many will jettison the carefree lifestyle associated with growing on the street and embrace a worthy cause such as music or whatever areas of expertise befits their talents. This genre of inspiring young ones through music he called ‘street-hops’.

‘If many of Nigerian musical superstars who are famous around the world can do it, many of our young boys and girls, in the slums around the country can also do it’ he said.

He added, ‘however, they need to work at it because it takes a lot of commitment and hardwork’.

Banjo explained that he has had to contend with several odds to be a musician. He recalled his university days in UNILAG and how challenging it was to survive on campus. This and many other life experiences set him on the path to become and a musician with rich and meaningful lyrics specifically targeted at those within the age bracket of 20-35 years.

Banjo’s first single was released six months ago along with the video directed by celebrity director, Unlimite
