‘I will defeat President Buhari in a Free and Fair election in 2019’- Governor Fayose

 

Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has insisted that he will defeat President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.

In a series of tweets on Friday, Fayose stated that he had a history of beating incumbents at the polls and stressed that he will accomplish the feat again, if the elections were free and fair in 2019.

He wrote: “Our party must not lose sight that Nigerians at this period are desirous of a President with demonstrated capacity to change their fortunes.

“Furthermore, we must be mindful of the fact that our party needs a candidate like me, with a penchant for defeating incumbents.

“Twice, I defeated incumbents to become the Governor of Ekiti State…

“I am confident that with your support as my party leaders and supporters, I will defeat President Buhari, in a free and fair election.”

Chieftains from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People Deomcratic Party (PDP), have already slammed Fayose over his declaration to contest
