Passion for development, the zeal to see and ensure stable and healthy growing of Christian homes and a dependable and resourceful nation have been the driving force behind the urge inside the person of Pastor (Mrs.) Chiwendu Edith Chukwuemeka. Having successfully staged various practical Christian-oriented programmes to emancipate the heavy laden and instill confidence into women alike, the fierce-speaking initiator of a non-profit organisation, Global Clergy Women Network under “Our Reedemer Cares Ministries with Reverend Chukwuemeka Emeka as its Senior Pastor of the church arm which is The Ark of God Favor Family Church seems undaunted over the years until she sees that women takes their proper position and recognize their importance, not only in the church of God but seeing themselves as the pivot and bedrock of a peaceful and growing nation.
With total submission under the authority of her husband’s ministry on the 1st quarter of her solemn assembly, Pastor (Mrs.) Chukwueeka, in declaring the session open told all Pastors’ wives in attendance the unique message for this generation, the agenda of the Almighty which according to her is so unique that must be prepared for with a view to re-addressing certain issues of great importance. In her words, “Behind every successful man is a woman, this has become a trite in our generation but if you take a critical look at the statement, you will realize that women are the shakers and movers of every facets of the society”.
She regretted that though the society may not accord the deserving posting of prominence to women but the ”Iron Lady”, as many would call her still recognizes the fact that recent global issues have proven that in spite of the anomalies all over the world, people have come grasp the fact that women can no longer be cast aside.
During the well attended conference tagged “The Special Family” held at the Ark of God Family Church in Okota area of Lagos, Pastor Edith asserted the need for the world to reawaken from its slumber and rediscover the invaluable role of women in the church, which she added is the foundation of the nation’s peaceful existence.
While the participating women were taken through series of both psychological and biblical tutelage to restore their confidence and realization of their position, the woman of God reminded them of several women God had used to play silent and important roles in the recent past. She cited the case of Mother Florence Crawnford who was the founder of the Apostolic Faith and Amiee Semple Mcpherson as the founder of the International Foursquare Gospel Church.
Not only did Pastor Edith noticed that women have risen to be leaders of great and global ministries both in the old and recent times, she reiterated that women play highly important roles in various churches’ revivals across the globe. The, she went on, must not be seen as a mere occurrence but one feat that must be projected and maintained from time to time, so we can have peace, not only in the ministries or in the ministries of their husbands but most importantly in our respective homes and the nation at large.
In a special interaction with the Publisher of Safari News Online during the conference, Pastor Edith Chukwuemeka took cognizance of God’s deposit in her which has always pushed her to empower women folk biblically, which, according to her is the only way to guarantee a good and stable family home. She went on, “It is true that God had used and still using women marvelously, it is equally true that the devil has borrowed women and use them as evil vessels. We owe it a responsibility to take up the challenge to empower our Pastors’ wives who then pass on all they have learnt at this conference down to the church, and then to the society at large”.
One major thing Pastor Chukwuemeka will be happy to see after the conference is seeing that the women are working meaningfully in the lives of their husbands. Here, we have empowered them, we have enriched them, fortify them with the word as they are being made the machinery of success, right fronm their respective ministries and down to individual homes and to the nation in general.
Significantly enough, after the first day of the conference, a versatile Christian couple with vast marriage life also took the centre stage and admonished the women in attendance during which they were advised to live a bond life with their pastor husbands. The couple began with the genesis of foundation of marriage, it’s importance in daily lives of women. It was noticed that women have been privileged to be powerful in the existence of man and as such should not be taken advantage of.
The success of their husbands’ ministries, according to the Professor and his wife lie in their hands because their position cannot, in any way be compromised. Speaking about companionship, it was defined that a partner is part of you while issues were extensively raised on the several reasons of marriage which should not played down by women, citing Exodus 20; 4, 1 Cor. 6; 18-20 and 1 Cor. 3; 17.
As if that was not enough, Pastor Chukwuemeka took time off to prepare adequately for the participating women by preparing an “Angelic Bread”, which she traced to what Ezekiel ate in the old days that he lived till over 300 years. She took the women through healthy eating lecture session with the special bread made of fiber and enhances a free flow of their blood vessels, the results of this, she maintained will result in their looking young and dazzling and always remaining a darling in the eyes of their husbands-pastor.
Also speaking with Safari News, Pastor Chukwuemeka, the man behind the host Pastor (Mrs. Edith Chuckuwemeka recognized he’s such a lucky man to have found her as a wife. He said, “she’s so blessed and enriched and this I noticed from the very day we met. It has been great ideas we both work on together and today, the Ark of God Ministries have done so much in the display of practical Christianity, this is our philosophy. We take up burden of very many as the Lord directs and so far, the Lord has been good to us. This is our special calling and we will not stop until we see those carrying heavy burden being given succor and delivering those in bondages by way of unemployment, empowerment, necessary social amenities and adequate shelter”.
