The Inspector General of Police ( IGP), Mohammed Abubakar Adamu commissioned the newly built ultra modern SPO building which contain ten three bedroom flats at police officers quarters, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
Commissioning the project, Adamu said, ” the project is done in partnership with the BLACK KORAl CONCEPT limited adding that the concept as a template and hoped the strategy to provide decent modern housing for police officers is yielding dividend and expected result.
In his brief, the Deputy Inspector General of police, DIG Logistics and Supply (DLS) Dig. Aminu Baraya said he was surprised that the project would be completed on schedule and warned that any police officer lucky to be allocated a flat in the edifice should take proper care of it .
Also like to warned that whereby any officer whi fails to take good care of the flat allocated to him/ she and it comes to our notice , it would not hesitate to eject that officer and re-allocate that flat to another officer immediately.
During cutting the tape,IGP Adamu declare the new building open explained that the edifice is a shift from the old housing scheme to a modern housing for police officers to restore the dignity of police officers as directed by the President, Mohammad Buhari across the nation.
Adamu walked around to inspect the apartments including the parlors, the kitchens, the lavatories among others and was satisfied with the building.
