Ijebu Indigene Association Dallas Boosts Education Sector In Ogun

 

 

A United States based group, Ijebu Indigene Association; Dallas Forth Worth has boost knowledge and learning with donation of educational materials to some schools in Ogere area of the state.

 

 

 

 

 

 

According to the group, apart from creating an enabling academic environment, the items donated to the schools will also empower the students to achieve their full potentials and provide them with opportunities for growth and success.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Presenting the stationeries to the schools, the Regent who doubles as Olisa of Ogere Remo, Chief (Dr) Yiga OSITELU expressed appreciation to the international association for their thoughtfulness in given back to their communities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In his own remark, the President of Ogere Community Development Council, OCDC thanked the group for the kind gesture, stressing that education is a collective effort of the government, individuals and corporate bodies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Similarly, the Bishop of Ogere Diocese, The church of the Lord worldwide, His lordship, Bishop Joseph Soyemi prayed for the group, while he advised other sons and daughters in diaspora to emulate the good gesture of the group towards contributing to the growth of education in the state.

 

 

 

 

 

 

On their part, the school heads thanked the international cultural group for showing concern; contribute to the growth of academics in the community. However, they pleaded with the association to still do more in the area of electrification, infrastructure and transportation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The project facilitator, Arogesi Ayodeji Osinlaru said the stationeries donated to the schools were part of the Association plans to timely contribute their quota to the education sector in their state, urging sons and daughters of the area to also look inward in giving back to their communities in no small means.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dignitaries at the event were, the Regent and Olisa of Ogere Remo, Chief Dr Yiga OSITELU, Otunba Dayo Onabowale, Senior Prophet Amos Oyedele, Mr Nosiru, Mubo Osilaru along with All schools PTA chairmen.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The beneficiaries’ schools are, Ogere community high school, OSITELU memorial College, Wesley primary school, Christ Church school and FOMWAN School.
