Ijebu-Ode residents raise alarm over cult Killings
Over thirteen (13) souls have been brutally killed after the just concluded gubernatorial election. From a reliable source, a well known member of road transport (RTEAN) of the person Akibu Titilayo popularly known as EFELE has been said to be allegedly the cause of the killings going on in Ijebu Ode. According to the source of information, EFELE was reported to have been suspended from RTEAN because of his attack on the incubent governor of Ogun state senator Ibikunle Amosun.
Akibu Titilayo a.k.a EFELE has been terrorising the peace of Ijebu Ode and it’s environ, always boasting of working for a gubernatorial candidate .He has ever since been disturbing and unleashing terror, intimidating and oppressing the innocent citizens and indigenes of Ijebu Ode using his connection and influence with support from the police force.
After the just concluded gubernatorial election in Ogun state on Saturday march 9, on Sunday March 10, EFELE drove round the town with some hoodlums and gave those hoodlums and Eiye confraternity money. Then
after he left, the so called Eiye confraternity led by one Adewale a.k.a Sixteen (16) stormed Ijebu and started shooting sporadically which led to the killing of one member of Aiye confraternity called Kunle (a.k.a. Aiyepe) resulting in reprisal attack from the Aiye confraternity.
Ever since the last Sunday till now, 2 members of Aiye and 11 members of Eiye confraternity has been killed so far making a total of 13 people.EFELE has been committing serious attrocities in ijebu land and has been boasting ever since to have the support and backing from the new governor elect of the state, in the person of Dapo Abiodun who has promised to make him(Efele) the new state chairman of RTEAN, according to what he has boasting of that the governor-elect has promised him. The Ogun State government should please come to our aid in ijebu ode to stop this reckless and heartless killings going on before it gets out of hand.
Efforts to get the police side of the story was not successful .
