Servant of God and senior pastor at Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has urged Nigerians to pray rather than celebrate as the nation marks her 58th Independence anniversary on Monday, October 1st, 2018.
Apostle Suleman, in a solemn anniversary message delivered at the church service on Sunday, September 30, 2018, said; “October 1st is for prayers not celebration. Nigeria has nothing to celebrate yet. Only fools would sing the national anthem on empty stomach.”
The firebrand preacher who was obviously miffed about the state of leadership in Nigeria, stressed that, “leadership in Nigeria is now all about money and violence. This is a very sad and improper departure from the intentions of our founding fathers”, noting that, “we don’t have democracy yet but civilian rule.”
The servant of God asserted that presently, Nigeria lacks proper leadership structure, as both the ruling party and the opposition are the source of the nation’s present challenges.
“Every 20 years in Nigeria, a new shift takes place. Is it the death of 10 family members that occurred a few days ago that we are celebrating?,” stated the respected cleric who was marveled at the intense of hunger and anger emanating from the suffering masses.
“Don’t celebrate, stay indoors and pray for Nigeria”, he said.
