ISMN DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO IKOSI-ISHERI COMMUNITY

In the bid to alleviate the suffering of the vulnerable as a result of the lockdown in Lagos, the Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria (ISMN) has donated food items to two hundred households in the Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area of Lagos.

Addressing the leaders of Community Development Association who had gathered to receive the food items on behalf of their people, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of ISMN, Mr. Obitunde Obiyemi said the Institute is mindful of the hardship the five-week lockdown of Lagos may have brought to the people of the community, especially those whose means of livelihood depends on their daily earnings and has decided to do as much as they could to help the people survive this period.
Obiyemi said the Institute understands that food ranks among the basic of man and if that is taken care of, there would be less crises in the community; hence the Board of Fellows of the Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria thought it necessary to reach out to the very vulnerable in the society. He urged the leaders of Community Development Association to ensure the food items get to poor among them who may be having a difficult time at the moment.

Commending the efforts of the Institute, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada said the Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria has done well by reaching out to the people of the community. According to her, their donation will no doubt go a long way to ensure nobody goes to bed hungry in the community. She added that quite a few organisations had reached out to the community since the lockdown stressing that ISMN’s donation is highly appreciated.
