Mr. Tony Ezekiel gave a befitting farewell to be remembered to his late Mother, Mrs Emily Onigioeki Ezekiel (Mama Kaduna) who passed on at the ripped age of 92 years so its a celebration of life. The Service of songs commenced by 3pm at her (Mama Kaduna) 7b edobor street off Okhoro, Benin City on 4th February,2016.
A motorcade left Benin to Sabongida Ora, via Ovbiokhuanin to Ome-Ora to her late husband home where lying in State and traditional wake -keeping held in mama honour, various dance groups performed to the delight of those in attendance.
On Saturday morning 5th February, mama was received by Cherubim and Seraphim leaders and members in their full regalia from 21 districts to pay mama the last respect because she was among the few to have attained the post of Special Mother in Israel. A full church service was held before she was laid to rest beside her late husband, Mr. Joseph Basimi Ezekiel a.k.a JB.
A grand reception was organized to entertained guests who came from far and near to identify with the Ezekiel family. There was also a unique red carpet mount by Adeniyi Ifetayo of Ben.tv London, that ushered in guest who has one or two things to say about the virtues and legacy of late Mrs Emily Ezekiel as its obvious in the life of their children. African and continental dishes flows endlessly with a choice drinks at the tap of your fingers. On the band stand were Paul IK Dairo and King of the world beat, King Sunny Ade, they thrilled the audience and got everyone dancing to their melodious music. Among those in attendance were Senator Francis Alimikhena, Captain Hosa Okunbor, Mr. Tunde Ayeni, Chief Oseni Elamah, Clem Agba and other eminent Nigerian.
The Chief Host, Mr. Tony Ezekiel during his welcome address earlier did promised that it will be a reception and experience that would not be forgotten in a hurry and truly the event lived up to its billing.
