This exceptional achievement comes on the heels of James Hope College receiving the High Achievement Award in Design & Technology at the British Council Recognition and Outstanding Cambridge Learners (BROCLA) award ceremony held in Lagos in July 2023. The College has continued to distinguish itself on both the national and international stage.

In a remarkable feat in October 2023, five students from James Hope College clinched four Gold Medals and One Silver award medal in the prestigious 2023 Commonwealth Essay Competition, showcasing the students’ prowess in critical thinking and writing skills.

It is noteworthy that the British Council recognized the excellence of James Hope College students in July 2022, awarding them eighteen accolades at the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards for the June & November 2021 Cambridge IGCSE. These awards included 3 in the Best in the World Category, 14 in the Best in Nigeria Category, and 1 in the Best across eight (8) subjects’ Global Category, affirming the College’s consistent commitment to academic distinction.

James Hope College has also maintained a tradition of exceptional performance in the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) results, further cementing its position as a leading institution in the academic landscape.

Commenting on this extraordinary achievement, Mr. Jim Ovia, CFR, the Founder/Chairman of James Hope College Lagos, extended heartfelt congratulations to the scholars and commended the dedicated staff and management of the College. Mr. Ovia emphasized, “The College will continually offer world-class education that would enable James Hope College students to achieve outstanding grades and compete favorably on a global scale.”
