Jason Manford Dazzling Performance Of Christmas songs to care home residents with school friend

Jason Manford Dazzling Performance Of Christmas songs to care home residents with school friend- Jason Manford spent Christmas Eve performing festive songs for care home residents. The comedian and singer joined his ‘oldest school friend’ Simon Pickering outside a care home in Greater Manchester to sing carols and Christmas songs for residents, including Simon’s father, who recently suffered a stroke. Video footage from the heartwarming car park gig saw Jason, 39, singing O Holy Night and It’s Beginning To Look A Lot My Christmas for the residents, who watched the concert from behind the patio doors. Simon accompanied the Masked Singer star on the keyboard.

Jason wrote on Facebook: ‘My old school friend Simon’s dad has recently had a stroke and is in a local care home. So we’ve come along this morning to sing some Christmas songs.  ‘Mike used to take us to all our gigs when we were teens so it’s the least we could do. That’s Simon on the piano.’

He later joked: ‘Most gigs I’ve had all year! Ha! Two care home car parks singing Christmas Carols with my oldest school friend Simon. Felt very Christmassy and bloody cold! Back home now to enjoy unpacking boxes and some food! Merry Christmas everybody.’ Jason was praised for the charitable move, with one person commenting: ‘What a wonderful thing to do. Puts everything into perspective.’

Another commented: ‘I have never known such a selfless celebrity as you Jason Manford people should follow your lead.’ Kym Marsh also commented: ‘You’re a good egg Jason!! Happy crimbo!!’ With his comedy shows cancelled this year due to the pandemic, Jason decided to do his bit this year and sign up for a delivery job at Iceland.

Originally rejected from a job by Tesco, Jason’s offer was taken up by Iceland, and the star did a food delivery shift, donating his fee to the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust and The Bread and Butter Thing.  Richard Walker, Managing Director at Iceland, said: ‘Everyone at Iceland is extremely grateful for Jason’s contribution today and he has certainly helped to lift spirits with our customers and heroic colleagues.
