2018 When Women Win Experience
When Women Win (WWW) has announced that award winning
Architect, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Jumoke Adenowo, the U.S. Consulate’s Head of Public Affairs, Darcy Zotter and the South African Director of the Global Women’s
Initiative, Tumi Frazier will be headlining its debut When Women Win Experience
scheduled to take place on Friday, the 9th of March, 2018 simultaneously at the Oriental
Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos and the CBN Training Institute, Abuja.
When Women Win (WWW) is a new initiative set to be a platform to enable women;
helping them discover themselves, be motivated and coached to reach their maximum
potential while also celebrating and advocating for women. The upcoming 2018 When
Women Win Experience which holds the week of International Women’s Day, will also
be the official launch of the initiative in Africa.
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 speaks of empowering women and
achieving equality as key to the development of Africa. The issue of inequality cuts
across all sectors of the society including education, politics and governance. This is
evidenced by the fact that although women make up 49.6% of the world’s population,
female world leaders/presidents are less than 10% of recognized world leaders.
When Women Win (WWW) is set to address this challenge by providing affordable
access for women to the knowledge, inspiration and opportunities they need to rise
above any challenges or limitations, reach for their dreams and succeed in whatever
field they want to. The core principle behind this is that when more women are
empowered, they can become better contributors to our economic development
“When Women Win, Families win, Communities win, Corporations win and
ultimately the Nation wins.” – Tumi Frazier, South African Director, Global
Women’s Initiative.
At the 2018 When Women Win Experience, themed Reach for the Stars, speakers and
performers from across Africa will inspire and teach participants through talks, music,
spoken word, training and coaching classes. Although the event is scheduled to take place
in Lagos, it will also be broadcast live to a viewing audience in Abuja. Entry to the event
is free.
The powerful lineup of speakers includes Architect, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist
Jumoke Adenowo, the U.S. Consulate’s Head of Public Affairs, Darcy Zotter and the South
African Director of the Global Women’s Initiative, Tumi Frazier. Other speakers include
The Catalyst/Life Coach, Lanre Olusola; Forbes Africa’s Head of Digital Media and
Partnerships, Peace Hyde; Head of Strategic Communications Union Bank, Motola
Oyebanjo, CEO No LeftOvers, Ayo Megbope, Actress and Comedian, Chioma Omeruah,
