EPISODE 1
……….Kim grumbled and tossed herself up and down the bed. She hated her new boss so much sometimes she felt like quitting, but she new better than quitting, she knew she won’t be able to pay her rent or send money to her brother Maxwell who was still in college or continue to carter for her mother’s needs – the thought of her mom made her toss the blanket off and hurried to take a shower. As she applied the last of her makeup the thought of Mr. Carson her boss came rushing into her mind. She hated him he was too bossy the thought of him irritated her, and his presence disgusted her. She knew deep within that she had to swallow her pride and work with him if she wants to take responsibility of her family she had to learn to like him.
“Kim, what happened to you today?, this is so not like you” Mrs Brown asked worriedly ‘were you sick? Do you have fever….’ ‘Am okay Mrs Brown’ Kim answered honestly, stopping Mrs Brown from asking her any further questions. ‘Okay my dear, but you have to hurry to Mr. Carson’s office he has asked of you twice already’ Mrs. Brown said ‘I hate him’ Kim said truthfully to Mrs. Brown.
Everyone loved Mrs. Brown because she was very caring and always open to hear you and lay out her advice. She is the secretary of Oleeve Company and she is of her middle age, but very active in her work duty. ‘can’t he afford to sit back at home afterall he is the boss and let us do our work in peace’ Kim continued angrily. “watch your tongue my dear, remember the walls has ears” Mrs. Brown said trying to calm Kim down. “Well then I guess the walls should help me tell Mr. Carson I said he is arrogant, rude, disrespectful, annoying….” “Common Kim that’s enough” Mrs. Brown said sounding a little loud. “he irritated me and I hate him” Kim continued saying not allowing Mrs. Brown stop her. “now Kim, that’s enough go to Mr. Carson am sure he is tired of waiting for you” “No, let her finish” Mr. Carson said coming closer to them.
They were both startled. Kim felt her heart beating so loud that you could hear it even from a far distance. She wished the ground would open and swallow her up, she wished she knew he was standing behind them she wouldn’t have said all those things, much more she regretted not listening to Mrs. Brown when she tried calming her down by telling her it’s enough, her big mouth won’t just shut up.
………”Please Kim can I have the file that Mr. Ben sent to you? I have to sign it urgently so it could be forwarded’’ He said in a very calm tone ‘’Yes Sir, I will bring it to your office right away’’ She said and quickly hurried away from his presence.
…. She was confused she didn’t know how to knock and get inside, she thought to herself ‘’I will be fired I know, let me be bold enough to knock’’, ‘’ knock the door’’ she ordered herself, and she did ‘’have your sit miss kim’’ Mr. Carson offered noticing she was standing by the door she walked like a statue and sat like a rock ‘’if he is going to fire me let him do it already and stop pretending nice’’ she thought within herself.
He noticed her movement but he was calm, he liked the fact that she is strong willed and the passion she puts in doing her job but he never knew she hated the job.
‘’Why did you come to office late today?’’ Carson asked calmly – ‘’ is this man crazy?’’ what kind of question is this, ‘oh I know he wants to make me a bad person just to prove himself’’ ‘’ young woman answer my question’’ this time he asked looking directly into her eyes.
She wasn’t ready to let him humiliate her. She rather walks away with her pride intact than allow Carson of all people mess her up.
‘ I quit’ she said- ‘’you what!’’ Carson asked with shock written all over his face, he couldn’t believe the lasting silence she kept; this could proceed out from her mouth. ‘’I said I quit’’ she stands up with fake smiles all over her face as she heads for the door, she turns to look at her boss, somehow the shock on his face gave her an inner satisfaction- ‘’And it was terrible working with you’’ SHE ADDED JUST BEFORE SHE OPENED THE DOOR.
