Lagos NSCDC arrest four oil thieves siezed 108 Jerry can and four boat

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Lagos State command have arrested four suspects with 108 stolen fuel contained in 25 litre gallon.

The commandant of the command Otoibhi Ehiabhi Cyprian disclosed the breakthrough to our correspondent in his office today.

According to him the suspected oil bunkerers and pipeline vandals were nine in number but during the chase by operatives five jumped into river at Mile 12 waterways in Lagos.

According to commandant four wooden boat used by the oil thieves to convey the stolen fuel were also seized and now anchored at Ijora jetty as one of the exhibit.

The four suspects are now in the custody of civil defence office. The arrest of the suspect came barely a week after the Lagos command operatives recovered 80 jumbo sacks of PMS hide inside the creeks at Baruwa NNPC pipeline in Alimosho area of Lagos.
