LAGOS POLICE COMMISSIONER ORGANIZES FIRST SENSITIVE COURSE FOR OFFICERS

In his bid to ensure that the Nigeria police force, Lagos State command maintains its standard as the best in the country, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Edgar Imohimi on the 20th of September, 2017 organized the first sensitive course for men of the force. This course was held at all the area commands and the zonal headquarters in the state. Speaking on the reason for this course, a Superintendent of Police who preferred anonymity explained that the commissioner of police is working on ways to bring in new security tactics into the state. In his words, the commissioner of police ordered that no suspect or criminal should be locked up on any police cell without the divisional police officer or the area commander informing him about the offend committed by the suspect. In our bids to further investigation about the CP’s intention on this issue, the SP told SAHARAWEEKLYNG.COM that if the Commissioner of Police ever succeeded in achieving this aim, it will curb corruption within the rank and files of the Nigerian Police Force.
