Lagos school principal advises students against drug, cultism

Nigerian youth have been advised to desist from drug abuse and cultism inorder to have a better future.

The advise came from the principal of Babs Fafunwa Memorial Grammar School Ojodu Lagos, Mrs Stella Folake Adams who spoke to journalists in her office during a farewell party organise for the immediate past principal Yeye Oba Elizabeth Oyefunke Ojo-Adepoju who had just retire from service after serving for 35years.

Mrs Adams who is now the new principal of the school also call on parents to ensure proper upbringing for their children through proper monitoring and mentoring.

According to her since assumption of office their has been no case of cultism in the school. “I have continue to educate the student against the menace of cultism and drug abuse, she said “.

The new principal also thank the Lagos State government for the assistance they are giving to the education sector in the state .

Most especially she praised the government for initiating free education in the state which allow every child the opportunity and right to get education free in the state

She noted that the free education will allow every child living in the state to exhibit the inherent talent in them. “lagos state government have given every child in the state the right and opportunity to be literate,”.she said.

For the immediate past principal Mrs Adams thank God for her life and pray for her to enjoy a very good retirement.

She described her predecessor as very highly experience administrator who have done so much in the educational sector in Lagos State.

The new principal also advised mothers to be builders of life of their children. “don’t give excuse for the failure of your child once you leave your child for another person to care for then the child will get the best “. Any woman should always be ready to stand as a mother “.
She also advised the youth to look out before they leap”know where you come from, different destiny and success,don’t copy another person to avoid failure.

She also commend the Lagos State government for the prompt payment of salaries to the Teacher and other Civic servants of the state.

During the ceremony Pastor Omitogun of the Redeem Christian Church of God who render a sermon pray for the retire principal and advised her to continue in the service of the Lord.
