Lagos state House of Representatives member, representing Ifako Ijaiye Constituency of the State, Hon. Elijah Adewale is dead.
Hon. Adewale died at the early hours of Thursday in his house at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja after he slumped.
Before his death, Dr. Adewale, a member of the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) was cited in the caucus meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday evening.
The 65-year-old contested for the Federal House of representatives under the Platform of the All Progressive Congress(APC) and Won to represent Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency during the 2015 general elections.
Dr. Adewale attended Ilesha Grammar School where he obtained his West Africa School Certificate in1968, he then proceeded for his Tertiary Education at University of Nigeria Nsukka where he bagged a bachelor’s degree in 1979, be he settled for his Masters Certificate from the Lagos State University in 2005.
The APC lawmaker was Chairman ifako/ijaiye Local Government from 2004 to 2007, he was also Special adviser, Education to Lagos State Government from 2009 to 2011, before he became a member of the House of Representatives in 2015.
Furthermore, as at the time of filing this report, the cause of his death has not been made public.
