Breaking: Lancelot Imasuen Becomes First Top Nigerian Nollywood Star To Take AstraZeneca Covid-19 Vaccine Jab


Top Nollywood and multiple award winning Edo born Filmmaker Lancelot Oduwarene Imasuen, has officially become the first Nigerian entertainer who has taken the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine in Nigeria.

 

The award winning International acclaimed Filmmaker takes the Covid-19 vaccine shot today in his home town of Benin City Edo State alongside other big politicians, traditional chiefs and other big business moguls.

Ambassador Lancelot Imasuen who was recently named by the Federal Government of  Nigerian through the Film and Video Censors Board as one of the icons that has shaped the video and film industry in Nigeria’s 60 years of  independence is undoubtedly a game changer in Nigeria film industry.

 

 

Known for so many blockbuster movies, Lancelot is one man that has contributed immensely to the growth of the industry in  Nigeria, Lancelot Imasuen, who in furtherance of his Silver Jubilee celebrations of great works behind the Nollywood camera, is putting finish touches to the production of a massive blockbuster movie that will star some of Nigerian best artists in Nigeria, in a video he made during the vaccine jab said, “so, that is it, I’ve taken my own jab. It is risk free.”

Lancelot, who is now known and addressed as ‘the directors director’ during a chat with me this evening said; “I needed to take it so as to encourage those in my line of business, those who many see as their role model, to be a great example and also encourage others to do so as well. Before now, we were only told there is Corona virus and when it seems as if we were gradually getting out of it, the second wave started. So who knows what comes next?”

It is worthy to note that aside Lancelot Imasuen,no Nigerian entertainer has come out publicly to announce his or her Covid-19 vaccination status.
