Law Firm Seeks Justice In Death of LASU Student, Quadri Ogunbode
Legal representatives from Juris Republic Solicitors & Advocates have declared their commitment to pursuing justice in the case of the late Quadri Ogunbode, who was reportedly killed in a gruesome incident on the campus of Lagos State University, Ojo.
Speaking to journalists at the premises of the Corona Court, Lagos, lead counsel Omolara Ajibike addressed the press on behalf of the firm’s Principal Partner, Dr. George Ogunjimi, the Bamofin of Ojo Kingdom. She confirmed that the firm is fully representing the interests of the Ogunbode family in their quest for justice.
“We are here today in pursuit of the truth behind the tragic death of Mr. Quadri Ogunbode,” she said. “As the legal advisers and representatives of the family, we have taken proactive steps to ensure that justice is neither delayed nor denied.”
According to Ajibike, the law firm has already written to the Honourable Attorney General of Lagos State, notifying his office of their involvement in the matter. In a further move to ensure transparency and accountability in the investigation, the firm has also formally contacted the Commissioner of Police, urging for a thorough and unbiased inquiry.
“We believe the police must act swiftly and impartially in this matter. Justice delayed is justice denied, and we are committed to ensuring that doesn’t happen here,” she added.
The legal team also disclosed that it has reached out to the leadership of the Celestial Church of Christ, advising them to caution their members and officials against any actions that might interfere with the investigation or judicial process.
Ajibike emphasized that while the firm is determined to be the voice of the family throughout the proceedings, they would refrain from sharing specific details at this time in order to avoid prejudicing the case or attracting contempt of court.
“We thank the public and the press for their understanding. Our priority remains clear—justice for Quadri Ogunbode and support for his grieving family.”
The case continues at the Corona Court as investigations remain ongoing.
