He pledged to all residents that is a clarion call to let everyone be part and be involved in the project it will give Lekki Residents Association a new face.
Sir Malachy Uche Ezeoke the Vice chairman of Lekki Residents Association said, this magazine is one of our initiatives, we have brought to limelight remaining the issue of power which we are fighting to end power problems not only in our estate but is general issue across the nation.
That’s the problem we have been having in this estate it’s quite too much because morning light cannot be hidden under the cloud of darkness.
Uche said power problems is a major issue it need to be addressed because without power you cannot do anything, not even having a good sleep and a good life, among our promise power is one of the things we promised in our estate.
And by his grace we brought IKEDC here had meeting with them in Lekki phase 1,again in their office both in their marine headquarters.
“All our effort towards getting regular power for Lekki phase 1 is not in vain and right now we have nominated IPG that is faulty and we have worked to make IKEDC to work with IPG to give us regular power.
What we want is power, we don’t want the issue of diesel or petrol it’s affecting our health and giving noise pollution and also the cost is a problem as well, now diesel is sold N800 per liter, so how can a decent man survive with the present economy situation ,he added.
According to him, many businesses are collapsing, you will see some industries and manufactures closing by 3:30 and 3:00pm all because of the diesel and electricity supply which are not available thereby making business run down cband for us to have a calm and pollution free environment we need regular power supply. That’s why we would not just sit and fold our hands.
“We are not sleeping on these issue of insecurity the chairmen are doing real great on that and with the plans we have at hand we pray that we get more equipment and all we need to work so that these estates will be more and more secured.
With these magazine it will help in creating awareness of LERA those who say that they don’t know that LERA exists will be aware, he added.
