“Luli concert 2019 Promises To Be Bigger, Better, Interdenominational”- Organizers reveal

As part of warm up activities to ensure a worthwhile fourth edition, the El-Berachah Worship Ministry of the Celestial Church of Christ has assured the general public that its yearly Luli Concert is set to be bigger, better and most importantly cut across the different denomination available in the Christian fold nationwide.

The concert which is majorly a music concert is ready to be spiced up this year as the organizers further assured that it will this time around feature word ministration geared towards bringing down the presence of God at its Tafawa Balewa Square venue on Friday 27th September 2019 from 7pm.

To correct the impression that the programme segregates other denomination in the fold, artistes from other denomination like award winning Tope Alabi is slated to attend the much-anticipated event. Evangelist Imoleayo Akin Adebayo and Sola Allyson will also be headlining.

Other gospel artistes billed to minister at the event are Evangelist Samson Adekanmbi (Sammy P), Evangelist Adelakun Ayewa, Michael Harjovy, gospel rap sensation Engo, Tunde Ara, Kayefi, Laolu Gbenjo amongst others. Dr. Wole Adetiran, formerly of the Polytechnic Ibadan will lead the Celestial Church of Christ’s Central Choir.

In his media brief, the chairman this year’s planning committee, Mr. Gbenga Obajuwon-Ogunlana, reiterated that the vision for Luli Concert is hinged on promoting worship amongst Christians. He pointed out that the theme for the concert – Power in His Praise, is a testimony on applying the instrumentality of praise as a weapon for victory. Speaking further, he noted that ‘despite the challenges faced as a nation, there is still enough to be thankful for. It is therefore important that we raise the volume of our praise and worship’

As part of the activities lined up to mark this year’s Concert, Mr. Obajuwon-Ogunlana confirmed that a community walk will be organized at Lagos Island to promote physical and mental wellbeing. The 4klm walk which will take place on Saturday 21st September 2019 by 9:00am will kick off at Tafawa Balewa Square, will go through Moloney, Sura, Olowu and back to Catholic Mission Street.

In what seem to be a different turn from previous editions, a-2 day medical outreach will also be organized at the Tafawa Balewa Square on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th September 2019 to provide free primary health services as part of its community outreach initiative.

Taking pride in belonging to the Celestial fold, gospel sensation, Sola Allyson who is also a member of the El-Berachah worship team, commended the organizer for taking up the vision in changing the negative perception currently making the rounds and expressed that the gathering is a more spiritual event than a mere funfair.

While reeling out the logistics for the event, the organizers further assured adequate security of lives and properties, adequate preparations for medical emergencies and quality ushering / protocol services.

The Luli concert since its conception in 2015 has been a yearly worship celebration powered by the El-Berachah under the auspices of the Celestial Church of Christ with a nationwide attendance.
