Media Icon Sean Polotee Appointed Special Adviser to NCABAC

Renowned broadcast journalist Sean Polotee, also known as the President of Maagbon Republic, has been appointed as the Special Adviser on Media and Communications for the National Coalition of Apostles, Bishops, Archbishops, and Cardinals (NCABAC). Polotee, whose real name is Tee Abiola Alabi Oduola-Adeleke, has been a prominent figure in the media industry for nearly two decades, making significant contributions in print, electronic, and online media.

Sean Polotee’s career as an investigative journalist is marked by his commitment to informing and engaging his audience about national issues in an approachable manner. His advocacy movement, “MAAGBON,” meaning “DON’T SHAKE,” has garnered widespread recognition. Over the years, he has received numerous awards both locally and internationally for his contributions to journalism.

Polotee is currently involved in hosting corporate and social events and several radio shows, including “Maagbon lori Miliki” on Miliki 101.3 FM, “Melody Hymns” on Melody 107.7 FM, “Innovation Radio Hour” on Unilag 103.1 FM, “Smailz Radio” on 98.7 FM, and “Deflower Your Mind” on Jordan 105.5 FM. His show “Deflower Your Mind” was awarded the Best Radio Program of the Year at the Nigeria Media Nite Out Awards (NMNA) in 2019.

In addition to his broadcasting work, Polotee remains active in writing for notable newspapers, soft-sell magazines, movie producers, directors, and music artists. Fondly called the Baale of Jordan FM, Polotee expressed his gratitude to Archbishop D. O. Roberts, the leader of NCABAC, for appointing him to this national position. In a viral video, Polotee conveyed his readiness and optimism to deliver his best in this new role.

Archbishop Roberts highlighted that Polotee was chosen from various nominations by the board of trustees for his exceptional skills as a multimedia practitioner and his resourceful personality. Roberts, who is also the president of the West African College of Missionary Bishops (WACOMBS) and the founder of several educational institutions, emphasized NCABAC’s commitment to influencing political decisions and actions as religious leaders, much like the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa.

NCABAC aims to establish strong state institutions to support its members and offer professional development opportunities through conferences, workshops, and continuing education programs. The coalition advocates for the interests of gospel ministers on a national and international level, promoting cultural exchange and understanding among religious leaders from different regions.

Archbishop Roberts clarified that NCABAC is not a replacement or rival to other religious organizations, as many of its members are also part of groups like CAN, PFN, CCN, OAIC, and ECOWA/TEKWA. He further noted that the rebranding of NCABAC to a national outlook was inspired by advice from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing the coalition’s expanded and inclusive mission.
