Wardifen’s arrest is coming a day after security agents arrested a terror suspect named Chindo Bello, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Sunday.

Bello was apprehended by security operatives while trying to board an Aero Contractor flight to Lagos.

Usman had said in a release that he was being interrogated by operatives from the Military Intelligence.

Usman said Wardifen was a Cameroonian listed as the 22nd suspect in the list of 100 suspects declared wanted by the insurgents.

The Acting Army spokesperson said that the suspect had been handed over to the military intelligence unit for further interrogation.

He said, “As all hands are on deck to finally defeat Boko Haram terrorists in our country, today in the morning, another suspected Boko Haram terrorist, declared wanted, Ishaku Wardifen, was nabbed by vigilant troops of 23 Brigade Special Battalion at a checkpoint in Maiha, Adamawa State.

“Preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspected terrorist is a Cameroonian citizen.

“Visual matching with photographs on the poster of the 100 declared suspected Boko Haram terrorists wanted list released by the Nigerian last month, shows that he clearly resemble the suspect on serial number 22 on the list.

“The suspect has been handed over to military intelligence for further investigation and possible prosecution.”
