Moji Olaiya’s Death: Gani Adams, Fash Lanso, Femi Davies react

National Coordinator of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) Otunba Gani Adams, says he’s in shock over the death of the popular actress, Moji Olaiya.

He said the actress was a good person who did not deserve to pass away so soon.

“Sad. Devastating. Moji Olaiya is my neighbour. Sometimes when I’m going out and I see her, we will gist and gist that I will forget I have an appointment,” he told DAILY POST Thursday morning.

“And this happened just after Ajidara died. He was in my house few weeks before his demise. We can only pray against these back to back tragedies.”

In his reaction, Yomi Fash Lanso said he was still shaking due to the news.

“This is sad, confusing, depressing, shocking; I am shaking. We are yet to come to the reality of Ajidara’s death,”,he told our correspondent in tears.

“I cannot talk well. We are calling ourselves to gather at her mother’s place. I feel for the woman; our visit to her should not be for condolence”.

Also speaking, media mogul, publisher and movie producer, Femi Davies, said the death of Moji Olaiya, “is a personal loss.”

“She was a sister, she grew up in my hands. I was the one who encourage her to go into acting,” Davies said.

“I posted her childbirth two days ago. She saw the story and we even chatted.

“When I heard the news, I tried to reach her. By the time I checked my phone, her ‘last seen’ on Whatsapp showed 4:44am today.

“She was friendly, respectful and quiet; hardly gets into the news”.

Asked if the recent deaths in the industry might be spiritual, he replied: “We should be careful about what we say, so let’s not go into the spiritual aspect.

“I agree that actors and actresses need prayer. Even Nigeria as a whole needs prayer.”
