NAPS Senate Leadership Demands Federal Polytechnic Bida to Halt Repeated Tuition Hikes
The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has strongly condemned the continuous increase in tuition fees at Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State, calling on the school management to reverse the trend immediately.
In response to numerous complaints from the Student Union President (Senator) of the institution, the NAPS Senate Leadership has made several unsuccessful attempts to engage with the school authorities. Following its independent investigation, NAPS discovered that the school management has consistently increased tuition fees each academic session, placing an unbearable financial burden on students.
As a result, the NAPS Senate Leadership has issued a seven-day ultimatum for the management to reduce tuition fees and convene a formal dialogue with student leaders. Until this demand is met, students have been urged to boycott tuition payments in solidarity with the Student Union Government (SUG) and NAPS leadership.
Failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe will result in a mass mobilization of students to shut down academic activities at the institution until the management is ready to address their grievances.
The NAPS Senate remains committed to ensuring that Polytechnic students are not subjected to financial oppression, reaffirming its stance with the rallying cry:
“Until Polytechnic Students Are Free from Oppression, Aluta Continua!”

Dist. Senator Adeniji Boluwaji Temitope
