Nasarawa State Set To Also Ban Street Begging

Nasarawa State is about to ban street begging. According to the state Commissioner for Special Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Idris Muhammed, the Government wants to take a cue from Kano and Kaduna states that have succeeded in banning street begging.

He disclosed this while addressing journalists in his office in Lafia, the state capital yesterday.

He however warned that when passed into law, the state would not in any way condone street begging. He said anyone caught would face the full wrath of the law.
