Dr Bolaji Akinyemi, Convener, Apostolic Round Table (ART) has called on our leaders on the need to get it in finding a lasting solution to the many challenges facing the nation.

Akinyemi said this at Apostolic Round Table (ART) 6th edition conference in Lagos with the topic: *STEWARDING* *MONETARY* *SYSTEM FOR* *WEALTH CREATION* .

He said the aim of the conference was a gathering of experts that discussed the many solutions and way forward to Nigeria’s economic challenges.

“At the conference, economics
professionals and stakeholders shared their views on the current socio-political economic realities and the major reasons Nigeria will stand up to get it right now.

“The system has failed, we don’t want it to continue failing, so we need to constantly remind our leaders not to eat all we have but to invest!

“The characters exhibited by our leaders who always think as if there is no tomorrow have made the citizens to needlessly suffer in the midst of plenty as they, our leaders keep borrowing!

“How can the nation keep taking loan without investing? This is just like a farmer giving out his seeds during harvest without reserves for the next season’s planting! We need to manage what God has given us abundantly”, he urged!

Mr Peter Okafor, one of the panel discussants noted that the topic was very important to talk about so, the nation can raise better youths for a formidable tomorrow!

“We have to engage the youths on the need to stand for values! What will make them great leaders of tomorrow!”

Okafor, therefore, called for qualitative education of the youth, not just education, but that education that will give them value addition.

The discussants all agreed that Nigeria should imbibe the habit of investing and stop wasting funds so that in the case of global economy crisis, it will help to transform the economic system!

They said that proper investment will create wealth and flow of benefits for a period of life time with good results!
