Pan Igbos group in Lagos presented an award recognising High Chief C.C Nwokedi, president-General of Ndi Igbo Buru-Otu Association of Nigeria as an outstanding Igbo Man who is doing great in the Leadership role especially for championing a good cause towards Ndigbo through Ndi Igbo Buru-Otu.
The Igbo speaking Community group in Lagos, founded by over a decade by old Monarch of Ndigbo in Lagos, His Royal Highness C.O Anomneze (Ojiofor Ndigbo of Lagos), led by it President- General, High Chief (sir) Cyril Sunday Eze; Conferred the good Leadership award on Chief C.C Nwokedi during 2020 new yam celebration (Iriji), organised in Surulere; for his countless efforts ensuring a good Socio-economic atmosphere for Ndigbo across Nation.
High Chief Nwokedi thanked the Igbo speaking community and promised to continue to dispense exemplary leadership and hence forth with greater charitable feats aimed at elevating Ndigbo from poverty and hardship.
Speaking on the present state of Nigeria and the gains of independence, he pointed that Nigeria is blessed nation only suffering from the ills and sabotage committed against by her own citizens.
He urged Nigerians to seek ways to achieve a better Nigeria, stressing that peace love and unity are of essences if a new Nigeria must be achieved.
Urging Ndigbo to embrace one another with truth and honest, Chief Nwokedi admonished that the Igbos, wherever they are, should be their brothers’ keepers and always be ready to prove to people of other tribes that Ndigbo are one unbreakable family.
On the achievements of Ndi Igbo Buru-Otu Association of Nigeria, he stated that the body remains an umbrella for the entire Igbos who believe in it.
According to him, all members of the association are highly economically and socially protected, that they extended hand to the less privileged ones outside the association .
