Ogbogbo Old Students Association Donates Health Bay To Alma Mater
Ogbogbo Baptists Grammar School Old Students Association, 1984 set on Friday commisioned an utra-modern health bay worth millions of naira for their Alma Mater.
The citadel of learning located in Ijebu North East area of Ogun state and which has produced captains of industry, educationists, banking gurus, industrualists, prominent philantropists and other eminent Nigerians was founded in 1972.
The Chairman of the 84 set, Otunba Babatunde Adenaike speaking during the handover of the building to the school management notes that the gesture was part of its commitment to improving the quality of secondary school education in Nigeria as well as schooling experience for the present and future students of Ogbogbo Baptist Grammar School.
Otunba Adenaike stressed further that despite the present challenges facing the education sector in the country, the set deemed it necessary to continually give back to their Alma Mater which laid the foundation for their successful career.
“Ogbogbo Baptist Grammar School has shaped the lives of each and every one of us in such a positive and outstanding way that launched us into great achievements in our various chosen fields”.
Speaking earlier, the National President of the Old Students Association, Elder Timothy Olowookere expressed unalloyed appreciation to the set for the construction of the health bay for the benefits of both present and future students of the school.
Elder Olowookere added that there are ongoing projects within the school premises being anchored by the national secretariat of the old students association, promising to return to the school soon for the commissioning exercise.
Dignitaries at the well attended event were representative of Zonal Education Officer, Mrs Alausa, Zonal secretary Teaching Service Commission, Pastor Olugbesan, representative of Principal Senior School, Mrs Adenuga, Principal Junior school, Mrs Iwayemi, National President Old student Association, Elder Timothy Olowokere and Former Head boy, Pastor Waheed Omotilewa.
Executives and other members of the 84 set present at the commissioning programme include the Chairman, Otunba (Surv) Babatude Adenaike, 2nd Vice Chairman, Arc.Shade Runsewe, Secretary Dr Segun Adeeko, PRO Temiro Adetola Oluwakemi, Kayode Adekoya, Ruben Akrawa, Rotimi Olajide, Titi Odunsi, Tutu Adeoye, Folake Oreshile, Sola Agoro and Mrs Oshinolu.
