Our attention has been drawn to a misleading report on Social Media which alleges that our highly revered father, Aremo Olusegun Osoba has parted ways with the APC governorship candidate in Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
This misguided article is without a traceable source but is obviously written to cause disaffection among the APC ranks and confuse the unsuspecting public.
For the avoidance of doubt, Aremo Olusegun Osoba has been a Progressive even before Nigeria returned to Democracy in 1999.
He has always been a party man to the core.
Aremo Osoba and the APC are inseparable and his comments in Abuja on Monday, advising people not to vote against Amosun are words of a loyal party man.
Governor Amosun is the APC senatorial candidate in Ogun Central and the magnanimous 80-year old politician would like him and other APC candidates to emerge victorious on Saturday, despite the recent documented disagreement between the two.
Prince Abiodun is the governorship candidate of the APC in Ogun state and is enjoying the overwhelming support of the Akinrogun. The former governor threw his weight behind Abiodun from day one and has been unwavering in his support. Chief Osoba, despite his age, has attended almost all of the candidate’s ward-to-ward raĺlies across the state; and has continued to provide inspiring leadership for the APC in the State.
Aremo Osoba is a loyal party man who doesn’t betray fellow party men even at his own expense.
We hereby advise all the foxes in the hen house to cease and desist as no amount of derogatory write-ups can change the trust our party has reposed in Aremo Olusegun Osoba and Prince Dapo Abiodun.
As an aside, we thought our candidate (Prince Dapo Abiodun) was once rated a paperweight politician! We therefore wonder why all these desperate efforts are being made to bring about his downfall.
The nation is waiting for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday while the Ogun state electorate are waiting for Saturday, 9th March, 2019 to put to rest, once and for all, the notion that one person can single handedly decide the fate of about 4 million people.
We therefore ask the mischief makers to stop dissipating energy on inanities and wait for the result of the governorship polls!
In conclusion, it is too late to cause division in a house that stands on truth and not falsehood or hypocrisy.
