Ogun Labour leaders endorse Dapo Abiodun

The governorship ambition of the Ogun State All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun, received a significant boost on Friday, as labour leaders in the state led by the State Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress Comrade Akeem Ambali and other members of the state executive council endorsed him.
The NLC leaders gave the assurance while playing host to the entourage of the APC governorship candidate who visited the NLC secretariat to intimate them with his agenda for the workers in the state.
The NLC Chairman recounted their ordeals in the hands of the current Amosun-led administration, but said they will not judge the worms inside a child by his attitude, that he as why the NLC gave Abiodun the opportunity to interacwithnthe labour leaders.
He remarked that: “our incoming governor, in the last two years, the Amosun-led APC government has done terrible things for the workers but thank God they failed to pull us down as they have planned. But we know that we will not judge the worms inside a child by his attitude. As said by chief Osoba, we felt reluctant to meet you because of our bad experience in the hands of Amosun. Amosun sacked labour leaders, refused to pay contributory pensions, and delayed promotions.”

“Chief Osoba called you the incoming governor, we see you as the topmost contender and soon we will have the desired change in Ogun state”

“We will sit together when you become the governor and restructure how the state is going to pay deduction, pensions, gratuities, leave bonus, and so one. My yellow cap is significant.”
Earlier, Chief Olusegun Osoba, the former Governor of Ogun State, who led Dapo Abiodunamdthe APC team to the Labour House, assured Ogun workers of better welfare and good governance as soon as Dapo Abiodun is elected as the next governor of Ogun State.
“we have come here today to sign a memorandum of understanding with you to show our commitment to the wellbeing of the workers and assurance to provide good governance when our party is given another opportunity. We will ensure that a committee comprising former government officials and Labour leaders will be set up immediately Dapo Abiodun is elected as the governor of the state. The committee will strategise on ways to ameliorate the challenges of workers and set agenda for the governor-elect to be implemented as soon as he is sworn-in.
Hence, i want to humbly inform you all that I am standing as a guarantor for Dapo Abiodun, and assuring you that he will be a Labour friendly governor when elected.

In his response, the oil magnate turned politician, Prince Dapo Abiodun, shared his vision for Ogun Workers with labour leaders and promised to prioritise issues affecting workers, when elected”.
