Ogun lawmaker empowers constituents with cash, working materials
In continuation of his over 1 year and two months charity works that predates his entry into politics, which has benefitted over 1,500 constituents cut across political party lines, the member representing Ado-odo Otta Constituency of Ogun State House of Assembly, Honourable Nuru Akinpelu Aina , has presented working materials to all the , women leaders and youth leaders of the three wards out of the eight under his constituency.
Akinpelu, while empowered the remaining three youth leaders, party functionaries and even non-members of his party for their unflinching support, mobilisation and prayers.
Akinpelu, in his brief remark, noted that the annual presentation, through the Legacy Foundation, was in fulfillment of his personal vow to God to give back to society and carry everyone along in his life and success.
The All Progressive Congress (APC) lawmaker clarified that none of the items came from any direct or indirect government funding, but the exercise was in continuation of his over 1 year and two months empowerment programme.
Among the items distributed to the lucky supporters were sewing machines , clippers, hairdresser dryers , wash hand basing, manual stoves, and cash gifts.
In attendance was Eng. Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele ,Ogun State APC Deputy Governorship candidate who is seeking election in next five days in the March 9th governorship and State House of assemblies election, charged the beneficiaries to be magnanimous, she assured those who did not receive any item during the ceremony that would benefit in due course.
She lead other dignitaries present to commission the “LEGACY FOUNDATION” auditorium, an ICT based for constituents.
Honourable Segun Ojolowo who witnessed the presentation, commended Akinpelu Aina’s large heart, describing him as an embodiment of what a representative should be.
Salako, urged continued support for the lawmaker, APC in the forthcoming election and their good works to ensure the state remains a shinning example for others nationwide.
