Ogun Police Officer shot Soldier to death, Colleagues Set Station Armour Tank Ablaze

Currently there is tension within Ogijo communities and enivorns after a Police officer allegedly shot a soldier during an altercation in the community.

 

 

 

 

 

The incident happened at early hours of today at Ogijo area of Ogun state

Our correspondent gathered that the police officer, who was popularly known as Mopol by the residents, was said to allegedly shot the soldiers over public disagreement which did not go well with both officers’ threatening to kill each other.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was gathered that the altercation intensified that the police officer who was said to have reached out for his pistol and shot the soldier.

 

 

 

 

 

A Sources from the area informed Saharaweekly that after the soldier was pronounced dead at about 6pm, his colleagues immediately retaliated,launching an attack,setting the Ogijo police station where the mobile police officer is currently serving as a police officer under the Ogun police Command.

 

 

 

 

 

Another eyewitnesses told our correspondent that the soldiers set the Police station ablaze including patrol vehicles,armoured tank and every other items in the station.
