Ogun: POLICE RELEASES 3 #ENDSARS PROTESTERS

The remaining (3) three arrested #EndSARS protesters have been released today, Tuesday 13 October,2020 following the intervention of the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Monday 12 October, 2020 directed that the prosecution of arrested protesters be stopped and granted unconditional release. Consequently, they were released on Tuesday morning.

The (3) three persons who are members of the #ENDSARS protest that took place on Saturday 10 October, 2020 in Abeokuta, Ogun State were detained on suspicion of assault on two police officers before the Governor intervened and order their unconditional release.

The statement by the Governor reads, “On my instruction, the Attorney General has reviewed the evidence in the investigation case file in respect of the three suspects that were remanded in a custodial centre on 12 October 2020.”
