Ogun state workers to commence on indefinite strike tommorow

 

 

It seems the Ogun state government under the leadership of Gov. Amosun isn’t treating its workers well as state workers have decided to begin an indefinite strike tomorrow, Jan 27,2016.
Reasons for this action are stated below in a statement from the OGUN STATE COUNCIL – Trade Union Side.

Ogun Worker’s to commence indefinite strike tomorrow!
Sequel to the Labour (State and Local Govt. Workers ) demands :
•That contributory pension scheme be suspended.
• Full payment of outstanding deductions from our salaries (May,June ,October, November and December) whilst some LOCAL GOVERNMENTS are left out OUTRIGHTLY UNPAID!
• Payment of outstanding gratuity from November 2012 till date – Government are not responding.
