Oludotun Felicitates With Christians At Easter

 

The Honorable Commissioner For Forestry in Ogun State, Hon. Taiwo Oludotun has urged Christians to pray for peace and unity of the country as he felicitates with them at Easter.

 

 

The commissioner in a goodwill message made available to journalists on Saturday stated that another opportunity has come for Christians all over the world especially in Nigeria to reflect on the sacrifices made by Christ which the Easter season has provided an opportunity for show of love reinforcement of the bond of brotherhood and commitment to the service of God and humanity as exemplified by Jesus Christ which is the reason for the celebration.

 

He said that it is his desire to use the Easter season to call on Christians in Abeokuta South, Obafemi—Owode, Abeokuta North, Odeda and Ifo —Ewekoro local government of Ogun State and Nigeria to take advantage of the sacred season and embrace peace, unity and demonstrate love which is the essence of the season.

 

He said, “I want to call on Christians to pray for the constitiency, pray for Ogun State, pray for Nigeria and pray for the growth of our nation because we must advance as a country and it will take our collective efforts to achieve that.

 

“We are challenged by security issues, our economy is not what it should be and socially we have problems and if we come together and pray against these melee, God will hear us and our country will advance again.

 

“It is true that we have challenges but we should be hopeful that things will look up again for the state and our country as whole, so we should dedicate this Easter to pray for the country more than ever before because it is a very difficult time for us as a nation but we will come out of it stronger if we pray and believe that God will answer us,” he said.

 

While wishing the people a peaceful Easter celebration, the house of representative aspirant in the last election, noted that Easter symbolises love, sacrifice, service to God, humanity and the country, and urged Christians to always reflect on the lessons and significance of the season and demonstrate the same.
