Oludotun laud Gov. Abiodun over N1.5Billion Operational Grant

…..Charges Ogun Artisans to secure the golden opportunity

 

 

 

The former commissioner of Forestry in Ogun State, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun popularly known as Twinny has commended the executive governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun for rolling out the whopping sum of N1.5 Billion naira as an operational grant for the artisans in the state.

 

 

 

 

Oludotun emphasized on the need for the artisans to ensure they secure the opportunity to build themselves after getting a loan from the state government.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has rolled out N1 Billion Operational Grant for not fewer than 1,500 Micro and Small-Scale Enterprises, selected across all the 20 Local Governments in the State.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking in Abeokuta, during the Enumeration and Vetting Exercise for beneficiaries, the Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor, Mr. Dapo Okubadejo, Who also doubles as Chairman Steering Committee for Ogun State COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus Programme (OG-CARES), represented by the Project Manager of OG-CARES, Ms. Sola Arobieke, said the main purpose was to cushion the effect of the pandemics on the Micro and Small-Scale business owners.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Okubadejo stated that the initiative was also part of the efforts of Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration to eradicate poverty in the lives of the citizens in the State.

Dapo Okubadejo noted that over 16,000 applications were received from business owners in different trades, across the three Senatorial Districts of the State, revealing that the 1,500 that were captured under the 1st batch would receive the alert within 24 hours.

He said, “The exercise has been on for sometimes. The main idea of the N1 Billion grant was to serve as relief from COVID-19 Pandemics for Micro and Small Enterprises in all three Senatorial Districts of Ogun State. The beneficiaries may not necessarily be indigene, but as far as they have a business establishment in the State, they are qualified”.

Commending Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, Oludotun said the people of Ogun state should expect more transformation projects which will touch lives of the people directly in second term regime.

He also called for support for from all the citizen of Ogun State for better governance through all-inclusiveness.
