Come 2018, it is obvious that the election in Osun State will be very tight. According to Sahara Weeklyng.com’s findings ,the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], is ready to capitalize on its victory at the Osun West senatorial election which was won by the younger brother of the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke. Prior to the 2014 election that brought in government Rauf Aregbesola for the second term, he knows he has a strong opponent in the person of Senator Iyiola Omisore. It was obvious that Aregbesola was not the people’s choice, but he won the election through the political power of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu whom he worked with as a commissioner in Lagos State.
Next year, another election is holding and surely, someone would have to replace the present governor at the Oke Fia government house and Abeere office.
Candidate are springing up and they include Senator Iyiola Omisore, Adedeji Adeleke, the father of one of Nigeria’s top artiste Davido, Senator Akinlabi Olasunkanmi, Senator Babajide Omoworare, Honourable Rotimi Makinde, Honourable Ayo Omidiran and others but the governor has his own candidate that he is presenting for the election that whom he believe will bring victory to the APC.
It was rumored that Aregbesola was coming to Lagos to contest for the West Senatorial District but Sahara Weeklyng .com can affirm that it was just a take information and that Aregbesola is now Lobbying to become a Minister next year.
