Fresh facts have emerged on why the political imbroglio going on in Ondo state following the report of the ill health of the governor which culminated in the purported resignation of the former speaker of Ondo state, hours before the expiration of his tenure of office which turned out to be false.
The truth of the matter is that it is a cabal in the government of the State who are the brains behind this move to get out the Deputy Governor, Mr. Lucky Ayedatiwa to foster their continuous grip of the state in the event that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is not able to survive his failing health.
Insiders’ information has it that the calculation is to position Barrister Olusola Oke to succeed Akeredolu in office and in the event of failure the plan B is to support Mr. Wale Akintehinwa from Ile-oluji. It is very clear that the likelihood of Ayedatiwa as substantive Governor will put paid to any of these plans.
This explains the intrigues and the mud-slugging allegation against the Deputy governor as a prelude to an all-out war against him. It was reported this same man who was the person that gave the first Bullet proof car to Akeredolu during his first shot at the governorship of the state in 2012, had been very supportive and loyal to the Governor up till this very moment even with all the provocations and campaign of calumny against him.
.
According to our source, they see Ayedatiwa as a threat to their perceived hold on power in the Ondo state and want him out by all means regardless of the plight of the common people of the state.
