Boko Haram, the terrorist organization masquerading as Islamic jihadists once again wrecked havoc yesterday the 14th of February 2015 in the Northern Nigerian state of Gombe when they attacked the state command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) , killing an officer in the process.
The slained officer, Danjuma Wakili Kusaki who until his death was the Deputy Superintendent of Narcotics in charge of patrol was shot in the head by the dare devil group inside the toilet where he was hiding when the insurgents unleashed terror on the command.
The invasion of the command on Biu road came as a huge surprise to the officers on duty that fateful day that saw many of officers scampering to safety in different directions because of the more sophisticated fire power of the terrorist group.
Some of the officers who sustained injuries while jumping over the barbed wire fences into the hills and
bushes included officers Wale Ibadiaran, Mohammed Abdulai, Sylvester Omoarebun, Yahaya Rabiu to mention a few.
Boko Haram, officially known as Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah (Group of the People of Sunnah for preaching and Jihad) has its base in northeastern Nigeria, and also active in Chad, Niger and northern Cameroon.
