OOK Group Launches Agric Radio and Television Talkshow in Ibadan Tomorrow

 

 

 

The O.O.K Farms Limited, a subsidiary, O.O.K Group Limited, has announced plans to launch its online agricultural radio and TV programme, tomorrow, Sunday, 18th June 2023.

 

Ms. Omolara Svensson, the group managing director of O.O.K Group Limited, in a statement signed and made available to journalists at the weekend, said that the primary objective of the initiative is to empower farmers, agribusiness
owners, and other relevant stakeholders with up-to-date information on best practices, innovative technologies, market trends, and policy developments.

The concept is aimed towards the advancement of agriculture and
agribusiness, particularly, in Oyo State, she disclosed, adding that it equally presents a unique opportunity to foster collaboration, share experiences, and explore avenues for growth and development in the agricultural sector.

 

The benefits of the programme to farmers and agribusiness stakeholders in Oyo State and across Nigeria, Ms. Svensson stated, are vast.

 

“By providing access to timely and relevant information, we aim to enhance productivity, promote sustainable practices, and drive economic prosperity in the agricultural value chain. The programme will feature expert interviews, panel discussions, educational programmes, and market insights, catering to the diverse needs and interests of our target audience, Svensson stressed.

The statement adds that the launch of the platform will serve as a catalyst for knowledge exchange, networking, and capacity building within the agricultural community, as well as facilitating the dissemination of success stories, innovative ideas, and emerging
opportunities, fostering an environment conducive to growth, investment, and
collaboration.

The unveiling ceremony billed to witness the attendance of participants from across various fields of endeavours will be held at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Ibadan, Oyo State.
