Opinion: Agbu Kefas Is The Face Of A New Dawn In Taraba State By Oluwatosin Alex

‘’Though sorrow may last through the night but joy comes in the morning’’…

For many years, the people of Taraba have yearned for good governance, they have literally cried for a governance that will positively affect them, they have struggled to get a leader who will understand the pains of the people and make intentional efforts to provide solutions. For many years, they have asked for a better representation but many at times, they were disappointed.

All hopes were lost, there was no solution in sight, those who could not endure relocated to other parts of the country while those who had families and less resources to move accepted their fates but there is good news now!.

In Taraba, the sorrow they have experienced through the night has come to an end; the leadership qualities engraved in Governor-elect, Agbu Kefas will definitely bring a new dawn to the people of Taraba state.

Agbu Kefas isn’t a rookie in politics; He has been in the system for quite some time and has taken time to study the problems faced by the people and has prepared ahead of time, how he will provide lasting solutions to these identified problems. Little wonder he has hit the ground running since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him winner of the election.

As a governor of a blessed state like Taraba, Agbu Kefas understands that the first thing to do for success to be achieved is uniting with every opposing element. It’s a known fact that in Nigerian politics, the victors are always fond of mocking losers but for Kefas, his first call-of-action was to meet with the oppositions that lost the election and won their heart to his side. With this development, Agbu Kefas proved to Tarabans that he is after the greater good of the state and will not place anything personal over the interest of the people who elected him.

Gratefulness is an essential virtue for a leader to possess. Certainly, Agbu Kefas is a true leader who appreciates the support of the people in his emergence as the governor-elect. Just last week, the governor-elect visited the Aku-Uka of Wukari in his hometown with his certificate of return in a way to show gratitude after their support for him. The royal father and the people of Wukari joyfully welcomed him and expressed surprises at his show of appreciation and humility.

Apart from this, Agbu Kefas has been meeting with relevant stakeholders and investors for the progress of Taraba state. Since he won the election, He has been working around the clock to ensure that every plan is intact for a successful launch when he is sworn-in on Monday, 29th of May, 2023.

In the history of Taraba politics, Agbu Kefas is the only leader that has intentionally shown that he is totally sold out for the people of Taraba. His plans are concrete and realistic. Taraba is just a month and a few weeks away from experiencing the Midas touch of Governor-elect, Agbu Kefas.

With Agbu Kefas, it won’t be the usual way of governance, it’s a new dawn on all sides.
